I wish I could've told you told take a detour up and around Michigan. Those are truly the Great Lakes. I'm certain the upper peninsula and Lake Superior (as well as Michigan and Huron) would've captivated you. Because of its isolation, Northern Michigan is a captivating place.

Dear Vespa Vagabond:
A small irony, I learned of your blog at phred.org, a bicycle toruing site. One step down from a Vespa. I bounce around the web often, but I have hung out at your blog for an hour or so today. Your photos and comments continue to resonate in my head. I loved the willowy contrast in your b&w photos and dramatic, bold colors captured in the color photos. I even enjoyed the characters protrayed in your animal shots. I live with my wife of 35 years who still fears the unknown that lurks in the unlit corners of southern New England. I will share your words about bad things happening anywhere. Thanks

Beautiful blending of the color of the sky and the lake/sea.

I am a native of Buffalo. Your photo catches the essence of the sky and the Lake, icy and gray.
